The founders of Jubilee Christian Center, JCC, Pastors Dick and Carla Bernal, started the church in 1980, in Morgan Hill, CA. In the early years they had a home Bible study before growing into their permanent home when they moved to San Jose, CA. After 35 years of serving the community of San Jose, Pastor Dick had the vision to return to where it all began and “bridge” the gap from what once was to what the church’s future may hold.
In 2015, Pastor Dick asked his son Adam and daughter-in-law Michelle Bernal if they would take up the mantle, bridge the gap, and rebuild the church that stood so many years ago.
Adam and Michelle were both honored and excited that they were entrusted with embarking on such a significant new chapter in the church’s history. The birth of Jubilee Bridge Church stems from a deep well from which the legacy once began. God's plan and purpose have been plowing the soil in Morgan Hill for the past five years since the church's return.
During this time, they have been blessed to rent a building storefront to house the church but know that God's plan is to reestablish what He started back in 1980. As a church, they are digging up the old wells in search of living water. They are actively searching for land to expand and rediscover their roots. Throughout this journey, alongside God's vision, their goal is to build a permanent church building location as well as a private Christian school. It is in Adam and Michelle’s hearts to align with God's heart and his leading as they build the Kingdom of God here in Morgan Hill.
When Pastors Adam and Michelle began praying for the future of God's church, He gave Pastor Michelle a vision of a red barn and the scripture, Matthew 13:30. It states, “Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.”
Once the design of the new church began, it became clear that along with a church, a private Christian school should be added as well. The school will be a place where children can hear God's love, morals, and values freely, and where the freedom to teach the Gospel will not be stripped away.
Joshua 1:11 says, "Pass through the camp and command the people saying, 'Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess."
Together we will plan, pray, and possess the land! Our current goal is to raise $3.5 million and be debt free before we start to build His “barn” church and school to advance the Kingdom of God. We look forward to this amazing next chapter in our history and journey and can’t wait to see what God holds for the future of Jubilee Bridge Morgan Hill.

POSSESS THE LAND
Step 2: After purchasing the land, we will move the current Church to the grounds and continue to have the Church in a tent until the Barn Chruch is completed.
